Design/Build for the Installation of an Integrated Electronic Security System and Fire Detection System at the Bronx-Whitestone and RFK Bridge Facilities

M & J Engineering is providing a Construction Inspection and Design Quality Assurance Oversight on contract BW-39/RK-60 of the Design of a Digital Video Management System of the existing Pelco Endura based Authority system which supports both Security Surveillance and Traffic Monitoring cameras. Work defined herein shall include all labor and materials to include, but not be limited to, a combination of fixed and Pan, Tilt, Zoom (PTZ) cameras and thermal imaging cameras. Quality Assurance of the Design and Construction of an Access Control System using the existing Lenel based MTA B&T system. Quality Assurance of the Design of a Structured Cabling System using a combination of rated copper wiring, control signal and both new and old fiber optic to support communications. Quality Assurance of a Fire Alarm System, the FAS shall be installed in bridge meter rooms, anchorages, tower saddle rooms for suspension bridges, as well as lift bridge tower machine room, control rooms and electrical rooms. Quality Assurance for the Design of an Electrical Power System including new lighting and receptacles. Work includes review of plans and submittals to ensure that MTA B&T’s Design Build Team meets the requirements of the RFP.
