Shakeel Ahmed, P.E. Senior Vice President Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, P.E. has over 35 years of experience in construction inspection and management of public works projects. During his almost 23 years with the New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) Division of Infrastructure Construction, he rose from Engineer-in-Charge to Deputy Director to Director and Assistant Commissioner, during which time he was responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the construction of buildings, sewer, water, and highway projects. He has notably administered several high-profile construction projects including the Public Safety Answering Center II, Police Academy, and various micro-tunneling projects. Prior to that, he was a Supervising Resident Engineer at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
