M&J Engineering, P.C. is providing design-build services for Contract 3 (D900055) of the Hunts Point Interstate Access design-build. Work includes rehabilitation of Bruckner Expressway between Barretto Street and Hunts Point Avenue, including structural strengthening, replacement of concrete bridge deck, concrete and steel repairs, replacement of concrete bridge barrier, replacement of bearings and pedestals, and structural steel painting; widening of the Bruckner Expressway between Barretto Street and Hunts Point Avenue, including structural modifications to existing pier caps, pedestals, and bearings; reconstruction of Bruckner Expressway between Hunts Point Avenue and Faile Street; construction of two new ramps; highway lighting improvements; replacement and installation of overhead sign structures/cantilever overhead sign structures; drainage improvements; Bryant Avenue Pedestrian Bridge reconstruction; demolition of four bridges between Hunts Point Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard at Whitlock Avenue; and rehabilitation of Bruckner Boulevard from Barretto Street to Whitlock Avenue, including pavement rehabilitation, sidewalk and curb replacements, redesign of six local street intersections, construction of a shared-use path, replacement of fence on retaining wall parapet and along right-of-way-adjacent railroads, street lighting improvements, landscaping, and drainage improvements.
